We&#8217;ve been invited to participate in <a title=\"The Founder Stories\" href=\"http:\/\/thefounderstories.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Founder Stories<\/a>, part of<a title=\"Web Expo Prague 2013\" href=\"http:\/\/webexpo.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> WebExpo 2013<\/a>, the biggest web event in Czech Republic. It was lovely to see so many young people really interested in design, Internet of things, startups, all things digital.<\/p>\n<p>Georgi and I were honored to be on the stage in the Business Hall telling Imagga&#8217;s exciting story. We tried to be very practical and share the lessons learned during the years we&#8217;ve been working to shape what Imagga is as company and what Imagga offers as technology. Hey, everybody hates to go to event and listen to product presentations, right?! That&#8217;s why we skipped how-great-we-are part and talked on how to focus on the product and not spend too much time pursuing fame and money.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/imagga.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/WebExpo_Prague_05.jpg\"><img class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-328\" src=\"https:\/\/imagga.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/WebExpo_Prague_05-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"WebExpo 2013 Prague\" width=\"625\" height=\"416\" srcset=\"https:\/\/imagga.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/WebExpo_Prague_05-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/imagga.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/WebExpo_Prague_05-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/imagga.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/WebExpo_Prague_05-624x416.jpg 624w, https:\/\/imagga.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/WebExpo_Prague_05.jpg 1602w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 625px) 100vw, 625px\" \/><\/a> Here are some of the highlights of our short speech:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be Visionary &#8211;\u00a0Foresee the trends, do not follow.<\/li>\n<li>Do not waste too much energy to apply for every single competition opened<\/li>\n<li>Funding is great, but at the end of the day you should deliver your product \/ service \/ technology<\/li>\n<li>Do not over-optimize your company valuation.\u00a0This may dilute the goodwill of your investors and kill your momentum.<\/li>\n<li>Don\u2019t want to be always right. This doesn\u2019t prove that you are smart. It only proves you are a smart ass and people get unmotivated to communicate and work with you.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Location, Location, Location &#8211;\u00a0You know, there is this myth that if you are not an USA citizen, haven\u2019t graduated Stanford and do not have good connections in the SV there are no ways to success for you! There&#8217;s some truth in this, but not really.<\/li>\n<li>Create Real Value and\u00a0customers will find you. Remember\u00a0customers are your best investors.<\/li>\n<li>Your only power tool is your execution!<\/li>\n<li>Work 24\/7, be passionate about what you create.<\/li>\n<li>Help the community &#8211; efforts to support the local startup community always pay off &#8211; you will be recognized as community builder, people will love to join your team, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Be ambitious, set your goals high enough, dream big!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><iframe style=\"line-height: 1.714285714; font-size: 1rem; border-style: solid; border-color: #cccccc; border-bottom-width: 0px; margin-bottom: 5px;\" src=\"http:\/\/www.slideshare.net\/slideshow\/embed_code\/26409372\" width=\"597\" height=\"486\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>It was great to hang out with the <a title=\"Node5\" href=\"http:\/\/node5.cz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Node5<\/a> &#8211; great co-working place in Prague. Node5 was awesome host.
