Why I wrote "Hawkwind's Tale"

After finishing the Dragonic Voyages Series, I had learned a lot and made a degree of improvement in my writing. I wanted a fresh start, a new world, and was ready to try my hand at writing about a different sort of winged creature--griffins. The premise for the story congealed in my mind, inspired by other stories I've read and seen, and Hawkwind sprang up before my mind's eye and politely asked if I would tell her story.
